He actually came from a broken family. He was raised by his father named Daniel Felomino Anza together with his brother Edsel Anza. Actually he has one more brother named Aljay, However Aljay was raised by their mother separately from them. And by the help of greatest love of their Lolo Gener and Lola Tusing, they owe the love and everything because of them. Since then Erwin was really a Lolo and Lola's boy. He live together with them. His grandparents always take good care of him when his father is working to sustain everything they need because both of them, he and his brother Edsel are students.
Just like other students, Erwin also experienced a lot while studying. For him, the greatest challenge as a student is that dealing with a financial problem, because the only one who work for them was their father. He's father was a farmer in a small farm locally. Their father can't afford to balance finances at school and at house because both of them are students. He cannot forget sometimes they go to school with empty pocket and he experienced walking about 4 km per day just to send himself at school. So just imagine, he walked for an hour. His heart is full everytime "ang baunan nya kag may kan on". Those priceless smile on his face everytime "may balon sya". If they have some money, it is probably for projects in school. For him, another hard part of as a student is that balancing his time being a working student, a student leader, a student itself and being a helping hand as he took good care of his bedridden Lola and Lolo who experiencing serious illness. Seeing them suffer from that illness really kill him inside.
Asides of those painful life as a student, he also experienced hardest part as a child and a grandchild. He said that the hardest part when he was growing is knowing how unfortunate he is to grow without a complete family. Seeing how his father struggled just to send them to school just himself, those are so painful for him. Celebrating special occasions just like nothing, just a normal day became part of his life. Secondly, one of the hardest part is that when his greatest lolo and lola died without seeing him finish his education. To be a successful in life. All his life he did everything just a graduate to pay back all of the sacrifices of his dear grandparents and father. Even it is so hard for him but he need to accept that they gone. He believe that his grandparents are very proud of what he had right.
Now, from a simple boy with a big dream, he was able to at least reach those success that he really dreamed of. He was able to graduate his degree with flying colors graduated as CumLaude and took his licensure exams and luckily he was able to passed. Now, he was working on his dreams and leaving those dreams with a guidance of our dear Lord and still has Faith on him. That verse Philippians 4:13 for him is so powerful. A reminder to him that if you need to reach something, if you have dreams in life, you really need to work hard and surrender everything on him. There is no such impossible with him. He is Erwin Anza, a licensed professional teacher and soon to be MAEd in God's grace.
